I have never been impressed with egocentric experience. Whether it is religious or secular… makes no difference. Whether it is Christians killing abortion doctors or Jews and Arabs killing each other or Islamic fundamentalists performing terrorist atrocities on behalf of a hijacked God or dictatorship-mandated genocides or capitalist-inspired greed or wanton ecological destruction… ego is ego. It is the mark of conflicted and fragmented human beings and offers absolutely nothing to emulate.
When I found myself in the midst of one such egocentric demonstration in Mumbai, my preference intensified for trans-egocentric experience… the wholeness that disempowers fragmentation.
One Life Alliance was born in the ashes of the Mumbai terrorist attack. It is the light of love shining brightly within the all-encompassing darkness of fear. It offers resolution for human conflict in the embracing of unity. It defines a commonality that we all share and invites us to honor it. That commonality, that holistic principle wherein we experience oneness, is life itself. Like it or not, we all share it. It empowers all and everything. With it, everything is possible. Without it, we have nothing.
It has been said that the eyes are the mirror of the soul. Is the soul not life essence? The terrorist, the politician, your wife, your brother, your friend and your enemy… all express the same life essence. Beyond all the egocentric software, one life is our ground of being. It is sacred source and in honoring it, we become whole. If there is ever to be an end to egocentric conflict, it will be found through the gateway of unified wholeness. The way out, is in.
In media interviews, I have been asked what I would say to the terrorists who held me captive if I had the opportunity. I have replied that I would say nothing, but rather be absolutely still in the awareness of life’s oneness. In my experience, the truth is most clearly expressed without the tongue. In the silent honoring of our commonality, we express the truth we all share and rise to the level of our oneness. It is trans-egocentric. It is holistic. It alone brings resolution to all conflict.
Let us begin right here and right now. Let us honor the sacredness of life in ourselves. Let us open to that which can make us whole. Then, simultaneously, we will honor the sacredness of life in all and everything. In transforming ourselves, we transform our world. Yes!

Life as essence is sacred. Without it, we have nothing. Life is ultimate value.
