Marita Digney is a Licensed Psychologist and graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland and the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley. She is a former Director of Training at the Philadelphia Jung Institute, was a member of the founding Board of Training Analysts and has served on the faculty since 1994. She has published essays and lectured on Jungian themes and spirituality. At present Marita is employed at The University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Marita has been a Synchronicity Associate since 1991 and is a certified Synchronicity Meditation Teacher.
Michael Horwitz is a physician specializing in Internal Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Pain Management, and Terminal Care. He lives with his wife and two teenage children in Grand Junction, Colorado. Several years ago he shifted his focus from the practice of medicine to a more balanced lifestyle of teaching, writing, and traveling. He has been associated with Synchronicity Foundation and Master Charles since 1985.
Marina Raye is internationally-known as the "Feminine Voice of the Native Flute". What makes her original compositions so special is their deeply emotive quality which celebrates the essence of peace and harmony. Marina's music is used by many in the healing professions to invoke a state of tranquility and a sense of closeness to nature. Marina was born in Africa where she spent her first ten years. She draws inspiration from her deep love for the Earth as she shares her vision of the awakening of peace in every heart. Trained as a classical musician, Marina has been called a sonic shaman because of her mastery of the native flute. David Downey is a dermatologist in Auckland, New Zealand, and has managed a busy practice for the last 20 years. He is 57 years of age and has known Kia Scherr, President of One Life Alliance, for fifteen years. His interests include meditation, spirituality, outdoor pursuits, the arts and family. He has a partner and two sons, Andrew, who is at medical school, and Matthew, who is in film production. He embraces a holistic lifestyle and is passionate about assisting people in their awakening journey.
Dr. Sook Yin Chung graduated from the University of Oxford in medicine in 1974. She received her Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Singapore after gaining experience in public health aspects of disease prevention at the Ministry of the Environment. Within her clinical work, her interest in nutrition grew as she realized the truth of Hippocrates’s words “Let food be your medicine and let your medicine be your food.” This together with her interest in qigong, yoga and meditation led her to her present field of Preventive and Holistic Medicine. It was also her growing interest in meditation that led her to the world of Synchronicity and Master Charles Cannon in early 2000. She is a Certified Synchronicity Teacher.
Dr Steve Hinkey is a pioneer in transformational healing through awareness, and the creator of Healing Theatre - a group journey to wholeness through stories, direct healing, and telepathy. He teaches healing mastery to doctors and wellness practitioners of every specialty. He has practices in London, Chicago, Hong Kong, and Aspen Colorado. Dr Steve has been a friend of Synchronicity and a student of
Master Charles since 1985.
Brenda Porter was raised in the San Francisco, CA Bay Area where she worked as an executive in Silicon Valley. For the last eight years she has been working in prisons managing Commissary Services. Currently she works at Shelby County Division of Corrections managing Commissary Services in Memphis, TN. Brenda is also a professional speaker, vocalist and self-published author. She mentors young people, enjoys music, reading, writing, meditating and attending retreats at Synchronicity Sanctuary. She is a Certified Synchronicity Teacher.
Gautam Sachdeva heads Group Impressions - a business enterprise operating in niche areas of media and communications, with a special focus on modern spirituality. He published his mother's first book written about her spiritual awakening, which led to the founding of Yogi Impressions: a publishing house that has produced the works of several contemporary spiritual masters both Indian and Western including those of Master Charles Cannon. Gautam has also authored two books: The Buddha’s Sword and Pointers from Ramesh Balsekar. He also contributes articles to Life Positive – India’s leading spiritual magazine. www.groupimpressions.com
Dr. Martha Linn is a Holistic Chiropractic Physician based in the northwest suburb of Chicago. Since 1994, she has worked as a chiropractic physician and in 1999 she opened her own office, Radiant Health. She expands beyond the typical chiropractic treatment and includes energy medicine, acupuncture, and meditation. In 2008, she founded Aware Skin, a 100% natural plant-based skin care product line that is pure skin food. She lives in Barrington, IL with her two daughters. www.inradianthealth.com
Avtar S. Bassin is a physician with a private practice in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine, and Internal Medicine. He has been involved with Synchronicity since 1995 and regularly attends retreats at the Synchronicity Sanctuary in Virginia.
Nikki Naik heads Mailing Lists Pvt. Ltd., a branch of an international direct marketing company headquartered in Hong Kong, where she met Master Charles Cannon. Her association with Synchronicity led her to attend Master Charles’ retreats in Australia, and visit his sanctuary in Virginia. Nikki is a director on the Board of Yogi Impressions Books which has organized events in Mumbai for Master Charles and Eckhart Tolle.
Joe Mitchell is an attorney in Philadelphia who is deeply interested in holistic experience and philosophy. After graduating from Stanford University and Harvard Law School, he lived in several ashrams for over seven years and has been practicing Synchronicity Meditation for over 10 years. He loves the higher awareness gained from meditation. He is a Synchronicity Certified Teacher.
Noeleen Shaw is a 67 year old woman living in New Zealand as a wife, mother, grandmother, meditator and a fully alive human being. She has been divorced and widowed and understands how it is possible for a life to become fragmented. Now, she is focussed on an integrated lifestyle where her energy is directed towards, unifying, laughing and loving, celebrating the world and expressing her gratitude for each moment lived here and now.
Jeremy Shaw is a young, happily married seventy-nine year old from the New Zealand country town of Oxford, North Canterbury. He has two sons and four grandsons. He is a former master mariner, having spent ten years as a navigating officer at sea. He is also a retired, ordained Anglican priest who specialised in counselling and psychotherapy. He has been meditating with Synchronicity High-Tech Meditation technology for nearly twenty years, and has developed a very satisfying, integrated way of life. He feels truly fulfilled and content.
Fredrika Gross has 30+ years business experience that ranges from entrepreneurships to corporate America including working for two $5 billion companies: Levi Strauss and Co. and McKesson. While at both companies, she was a member of their management development programs and audit departments. In the most current decade, she has consulted in the high-tech, legal and non-profit communities in the field of accounting and has acted as Comptroller or Finance Director as needed. She is currently an auditor for a CPA firm that primarily serves the non-profit community. She lived for 2 years near Tel Aviv, Israel while attending the University of Tel Aviv.
Kathryn Leeman, Ph.D. has been in the Counseling and Holistic Health Field for over 25 years with degrees in Transpersonal Psychology and Philosophy, and certifications in several other healing modalities. She has directed
holistic health centers in Riverside and Redlands, CA, and has appeared all major media. She has led workshops and spiritual retreats around the world. Kathryn's passion is encouraging people to find the truth within their being, and inspiring them to have the courage to follow what truly has heart and meaning at a soul level. She is a catalyst, a motivator, and a
transformer.
Shibani Sachdeva is currently the National Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of the world’s largest cement manufacturing company in India, spearheading its community development initiative across 7 states. Through her participation on India’s social and corporate sectors she has helped lead the start-up of United Way and Planet Finance in Mumbai, headed the National Marketing Operations of SAS Institute in India and worked with Young and Rubicam in their Consumer Insights division. Shibani is a James Webb Young Scholar with a Master’s of Science degree from the University of Illinois. She is a Teacher of Art of Living’s Yoga & Meditation program for the youth and currently her free time is invested in volunteering and helping build the Art of Living’s Youth Wing called World Alliance For Youth Empowerment (WAYE). She also enjoys skipper boats on the Bombay high seas and has won the Best Female Helmsman twice.
Aaron Butler is Kia Scherr’s son. He has been employed by the New York Yankees for ten years. He oversees the Accounts Payable department and is responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of funds for the entire New York Yankee organization. Aaron was introduced to the art of meditation at age 5, attended the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment, and has regularly visited Synchronicity Foundation for 14 years. He currently resides in Tampa, FL where he continues to work for the Yankees and will graduate from the University of South Florida in May 2011 with a degree in Social Science.
