The vision of One Life Alliance includes the whole of humanity. We identified five focus areas from our five year strategic plan. The projects have global impact and require substantial funding. As you read these brief descriptions, consider how you might participate with the actualization of this mission.
Building a Global Community to Honor Life
An online community is a collection of people interacting over social media tools that are based in a solid organizational website. Traffic can flow from the website to the community and vice versa. The website serves as the central provider of mission, structure, organization and content. The community interacts with the central organization and others in the community and reacts to content as well as contributes their own content to the site. We will add an interactive One Life blog, Twitter, and Facebook, increasing content on a daily basis by hiring a fulltime community manager. Inviting visitors to sign a “Pledge” and join our community is a commitment to the mission and the ideals of the organization that will start and maintain a global dialogue about honoring life. We recognize and acknowledge outstanding contributions to humanity in alignment with the One Life Mission. This will stimulate ideas and even activate groups that could create their own initiatives. A 24/7 team will be hired to run this part of the site to accommodate international time zones. A multi-language capability will be included.

Engaging Cities of the World: Cities of One Life
One Life Alliance will enlist and unify Mayors, or key community leaders, to engage their local communities in the application of the One Life Alliance message to honor the interconnectedness of life. One Life Alliance will facilitate the connection and ongoing interaction of the sister cities. The Mayors will work directly with their businesses and schools to introduce the One Life Alliance message to inspire practical applications that will benefit their communities on all levels. Mayors will agree to become sister cities of One Life Alliance. This project will enable us to engage both our youth and business leaders with our message of honoring the sacredness of life in our everyday world.
Annual 26/11 Event in Mumbai
Mumbai will be the centerpiece of the annual 26/11 Memorial Event in remembrance of those who died, and the survivors, in 2008. OLA, as a nonprofit organization, will feature the event in all of our media throughout the year with plans to include people from all around the world. We envision this annual memorial event to attract world leaders, celebrities and major news media throughout the world as the focal point of the first annual event in the East to call attention to counter-balancing terrorism with the message of hope, peace and understanding throughout the world. Eventually the annual memorial event will include an award for an outstanding individual who has exemplified the sacredness of life in his/her country. The potential is enormous to make Mumbai an "international city that honors the sacredness of life".

Sacredness of Life Training Camps for Youth
To counter-balance the violence and terrorist recruiting that begins with our youth, we are creating a training camp to educate youth from at-risk countries in the Sacredness of Life. We will gather students from countries such as India, Pakistan, Israel, and Mexico to engage with other international students around the theme of honoring the sacredness of life in ourselves and each other. The students will thoroughly explore and experience the ways this focus can be applied in their daily lives. We will conclude with a celebration of life ceremony in which the students will become One Life Ambassadors who will carry forth this message to their home countries.

Engaging 20 Countries to take the Sacredness of Life Pledge
“20-1-1” Campaign”. There are 195 countries in the world. The United Nations recognizes 192 but that is because they do not include special territories.
By the year 2015 we want to have five million Sacredness of Life signed Pledges. That would be the approximate number of people it would take to circle the earth holding hands. (2015: 195 countries/5 million people).
Goal: To reach out to 20 countries (see Note 1) to enlist 1% of the total population of 20 countries to take the Sacredness of Life Pledge.
2012 - 20 more countries - 2 million pledges
2013 - 20 more countries - 3 million pledges
2014 - 20 more countries - 4 million pledges
2015 - 20 more countries - 5 million pledges

“Sacredness of Life” 30 Ways for 30 Days Program
For Individuals, Education, Business and Government
This program begins with taking the Pledge to honor the sacredness and oneness of life in yourself and in everyone you meet. This program can be accessed on-line through video presentation, e-book or in person workshops. We have created 30 ways for 30 days to apply the Pledge in one’s daily life. The program will give focus and insight into this experience so that it can be fully actualized in all areas of life. A small booklet will also be available to use as a daily tool.
