RECOLLECTIONS AND MUSINGS OF NOVEMBER 26, 2009
My husband Larry and I were blessed to have the opportunity to travel to Mumbai, India with Master Charles and 21 or so other devotees.
Master Charles was facilitating programming that we attended every evening, after which we returned to the Oberoi Hotel. We typically shared a cup of tea accompanied by a delightful Indian sweet, we would meditate, share a "Blessing" and sleep within the comfort of the bliss.
On November 26th at approximately 9:30 pm our slumber was disturbed. The phone rang several times before Larry answered, it was our friend Vinka. She asked if we had heard the gunshots? We hadn't, but now listened very intently and indeed heard repetitive gunfire.
Fear, in its most primal form, made a dramatic entrance. My physical body was instantly overwhelmed. The immediacy of being drawn into the present moment seemed to initiate an innate action. We begun to function without reaction, simply being guided.
In retrospect some of what we did that first night appeared strange, we didn't question, we just surrendered.
We dressed
We moved our television stand in front of the door
We packed and placed our luggage onto the stand at the door
We broke the windows, as the room filled with black, heavy smoke
We stuffed pillows into the air conditioning vents where the smoke seemed to be coming through
We put wet towels at the base of the door to stop the smoke
We showered
We prayed, we prayed, we prayed
Throughout the next 45 or so hours we were taken for a ride by the Divine. A ride that ultimately served to expedite our personal growth in such a way, that I truly feel honored to have been part of the Blessed 24 that travelled to Mumbai together.
Through the journey to Mumbai, I was looking for an opportunity to move closer to my ultimate Awakening by being with Master Charles within the beautiful energy India has to offer. An energy that is omnipresent in India, tiny alters in trees proclaiming the glory of the Divine, massive temples built through precision architecture exemplify the Divine. Devotees praying, chanting and ultimately offering the Self are a true testament to the practice of daily surrender to Divinity.
I did find my Divine during that 45 hours, my connection remains true and strong. After all, who else has the ability or the power to orchestrate such Divine intervention? I am grateful for this daily communion, it is my "saving Grace."
I too, am grateful for the opportunity to have been able to be with Master Charles throughout such a pivotal point in my life. His Presence continues to light the way.
